Bangladeshi expatriates living and/or working in Singapore are entitled to apply for E-Passports. This post outlines the documents, procedures for obtaining your e-passport from the Bangladesh High Commission in Singapore.
Apply online at epassport.gov.bd. Fill out the form, and choose Singapore as your passport collection office.
Special Note: Please do not choose Singapore as the Place of Issue for your passport unless your passport ID page says so. Usually it should state “Dhaka”. Please follow what is printed on your existing passport.

You do not need to pay online. Payment will be handled at the High Commission.
Here is your checklist of the documents. It may change from time to time. It is best to consult the Bangladesh High Commission of Singapore and the Department of Immigration and Passports for up-to-date information.
- Your Original Passport
- Photocopy of Passport ID Page
- Your NRIC / Employment Pass / S Pass / Student Pass / LTVP / DP / Work Permit
- Original + 1 Photocopy of: Your NID Card or BRN Birth Registration (English)
- Print of Application Summary (After Online Submission)
- Print of Application Form (After Online Submission)
The Bangladesh High Commission in Singapore requests that you submit an appointment request before coming for passport renewal. You can do so on their website.
At the High Commission
Head down to Jit Poh Building.
Arrive before 9:30 AM. The Passport Enrolment only happens 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM on weekdays only. The high commission remains closed on weekends and public holidays.
Queue up. Submit your application and make the payment. You will be given an enrolment slip. Take it to the enrolment room. The officer will take your Iris scan, fingerprints and signature along with a photograph. Make sure to dress nicely for an impressive passport photo.
After its all done, sign the acknowledgement slip and keep an eye on the Facebook page of the Bangladesh High Commission to stay updated on passport collection.
It may take a while to receive your e-passport. The enrolment officers will return your current passport for you to travel with.
